VBG Applauds Launch of New Trade Association Representing Veteran Benefits Service Industry

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VBG Joins National Association for Veteran Rights to Promote Right of Veterans to Use Private Services to Navigate VA Disability Benefits Claims Process

New Industry Group Will Establish Industry Certification to Promote High Ethical Standards and Transparent Business Practices

Las Vegas (November 1, 2023) – Veterans Benefit Guide (VBG) today applauded the launch of the National Association for Veterans Rights (NAVR), a new trade association representing companies that offer services to help Veterans navigate the complicated Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability benefits claims process. The new group will promote the right of Veterans to use private services like VBG and establish an industry certification to promote high ethical standards and transparent business practices in the industry.

“The National Association for Veterans Rights will serve a critical need in Washington and in state capitals for those of us focused on supporting our military Veteran community,” stated Josh Smith, Cofounder and CEO of Veteran Benefits Guide. “As a proud military Veteran and Veteran benefits service business owner, I look forward to working with NAVR on ways we can protect Veterans, service their needs and ensure they are given every opportunity possible to receive the full benefits they deserve from their service to our country.”

As a founding member of the association, VBG helped in the development of NAVR’s new certification process that will serve to formalize and professionalize the growing disability benefits service industry. The certification will include clear ethical standards and business practices that honorable and responsible veteran service companies must adhere to, including ensuring appropriate training of employees, conducting background checks, setting fair fee structures and being transparent about free services available through Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs).

NAVR will be led by former Acting Secretary of the VA Peter O’Rourke. For more information, visit www.NAVR.org.
