LAS VEGAS, September 25, 2026 — Fifty laptops, which were property of Veteran Benefits Guide, are now headed toward a new purpose: supporting veterans. VBG is donating the refurbished devices to Heroes Deserve Help, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring veterans have access to the technology they need to thrive.

VBG’s IT team has been preparing the laptops for donation by securely wiping each device and installing fresh operating systems. The team also prepared another 33 laptops for recycling, giving usable equipment an opportunity to serve a new purpose while responsibly handling technology no longer needed by the company.

Through the donation, Heroes Deserve Help will be able to put the laptops directly into the hands of veterans who need reliable technology for work, education, job searches, accessing benefits and other everyday needs.

“Veterans have given so much in service to our country, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to give something back,” said Tionna Owens, VBG systems administrator. “These laptops may seem like a small gesture, but having access to reliable technology can open doors to things like a new job, an education, important benefits, and so many other life-changing things. We’re proud to see these devices find a new purpose helping veterans move forward.”

The donated laptops were transferred to Heroes Deserve Help at the VBG headquarters in Las Vegas, where representatives from both organizations gathered to mark the donation. Representatives are available to speak about the partnership and the impact the technology will have on veterans.

“Something as simple as having a computer can make a tremendous difference for a veteran who is trying to take the next step. For many veterans, access to technology isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity for navigating life after service,” said Nathaniel Miller, chairperson for Heroes Deserve Help. “We’re thankful to VBG for recognizing that need and helping us get these laptops into the hands of veterans who can truly benefit from them. We’re excited to see these devices become tools that help veterans move forward with greater independence and confidence.”

The donation reflects VBG’s commitment to supporting veterans and organizations working to provide veterans with resources and opportunities to thrive.
