Veteran Benefits Guide Named Finalist of 2024 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in San Diego
San Diego, CA - June 20, 2024
Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) has named Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) as a finalist for the 2024 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. Co-Title Sponsored by HomeStreet Bank and ignite sparked by BBB, the program raises awareness in marketplace ethics and recognizes businesses that operate with the highest levels of integrity.
“This recognition is a testament to our dedicated team members, who embody our company’s core values of integrity, compassion, and innovation through their exceptional work,” said Josh Smith, Co-founder and CEO of VBG. “At VBG, an unwavering commitment to every Veteran is at the heart of who our company is and what we do. We are committed to fostering strong customer relationships and ensuring that Veterans receive the benefits they've earned. Our team's efforts have profoundly enriched the quality of life of America’s Veterans, and we will continue to advocate for policies that support their well-being.”
BBB Torch Awards for Ethics is one of the highest honors BBB bestows upon a company, and is designed to highlight outstanding ethical businesses. Finalists are selected by an independent panel of volunteer community leaders based on criteria established by the International Association of Better Business Bureaus.
All finalists completed an evaluation in which they demonstrated their commitment to ethics and trust in four categories: Character, Culture, Customers and Community. Finalists have illustrated the character of their organization’s leadership, how an authentic culture is being fostered, how the company prioritizes its relationship with customers, and the impact the organization is making in its community.
“Honesty builds trust, which is a vital aspect in the success of a business. For 25 years, BBB has been recognizing outstanding companies in San Diego for their solid commitment to doing things the right way,” said Shelley Bradley, Director of Signature Events for BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest.
“This esteemed award recognizes business leaders who demonstrate a superior level of character and ensure their organization's practices meet the highest ethical standards, thereby generating trust.”
One winner from each category will be announced at the signature event on Tuesday, September 17 at the La Jolla Marriott. For a complete list of this year’s BBB Torch Awards for Ethics Finalists visit torchawards.bbbcommunity.org
